Blogmas Day 1: Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Blogmas: Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Hello bloggies! Welcome to Blogmas: Glamour By Gabby edition! Over the course of the next 25 days, I will be blogging daily all about one of my favorite times of the year... the Christmas season! Look forward to recipes, winter day ideas, top 10 X-mas movies, and more! Hope you guys enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Staying warm in the winter while also staying fashionable can sometimes be kind of tricky. Hopefully these wardrobe essentials will guide you towards both warmth and style!

#1: A nice, WARM coat:

A good winter coat is essential to any girl's winter wardrobe. I would recommend a J. Crew cocoon coat, as they are both fashionable and made of a nice quality wool! If you're looking for a less inexpensive option, J. Crew factory always has some deals, but I've also seen some really nice coats at Macy's and even TJ Maxx.

#2: High Waisted Jeans:

Essential to a winter closet is a nice pair of high waisted jeans. They keep you extra warm and also hide some of that belly fat you might've gained over the holiday break... because Christmas cookies and snuggling up on the couch with some Netflix sometimes get the best of us!

#3: A cozy blanket scarf:

A nice blanket scarf is a must have in the winter. I would recommend checking out places like Forever 21, H&M, and Primark for some inexpensive but cute options! 

#4: Winter Boots:

A good, durable pair of boots are essential for trudging through the snow. Bean boots, Hunters, and Sorels are just a few options. Although they may not be the most fashionable, they will serve your feet well in the slush! And remember, you can always pack another pair of shoes to change into once at work or school!

#5: Fashionable Boots:

Boots are a winter wardrobe must have! I absolutely love my short black booties and wear them literally every day! I also like black suede over-the-knee boots, as they are very on trend this season! Lastly, you can't go wrong with a nice pair of riding boots if you are on the preppier side.

#6: Sweaters:

I love love LOVE sweaters during this time of the year, especially turtlenecks! I personally like sticking to blacks and greys, but the options are endless! Check out J. Crew, Madewell, and Forever 21 for a nice array!

My Christmas Wishlist: Top 10 Items

My Christmas Wishlist- Top 10 Items:

Hey bloggies! I know, long time no post. School, sports, and all the stresses in between have occupied a lot of my time this fall, but I'm hoping to get into the swing of posting regularly, hopefully once a week! Today, I bring to you the top 10 items on my Christmas List. Hopefully this brings you a little inspiration while you decide what you want to see under the tree this year!

#1: 2790 Superga Lame Platform Sneakers: 

These sneakers are oh-so-cool, and what makes them even better is that they're platform! I have been OBSESSING over silver lately, so I fell head over heels (or should I say sneakers) for them!

#2: Black High Top Converse: 

Low and behold, another pair of sneakers... (sorry Mom they're just wicked on trend lately!). These are a pair of shoes I have been thinking of purchasing for a while now, and I think it's about time I add them to my wardrobe! Absolutely timeless, the high top Chuck Taylor will complete any casual outfit.

#3: Brandy Melville Tilden Pants: 

If you love Brandy just as much as I do, you too have probably been anticipating the return of the Tildens. They came out and sold out so quickly that I didn't have enough time to purchase a pair! Hurry Mom, get these fast or they might be gone again!

#4: J. Crew or Madewell Coat:

 These coats are timeless and classic pieces to anyone's wardrobe. They will be worn season after season and never go out of style. I am hoping for a grey version of this so-chic piece.

#5: The Tuff Safari Sunglasses from CRAP Eyewear: 

I have had my eyes on these babies since the summer, but never ended up purchasing them. Black and gold, they work for any season, and are a hell of a lot cheaper than the Ray-Ban version.

#6: J.Crew NYC Graphic Tee: 

This shirt is oh-so-cute and oh-so-me. Since NYC is my favorite place afterall, it makes sense for me to have fallen in love with this adorable top. Keep up the great work, J.Crew... you always have me coming back for more!

#7: Kate Spade New York Journal Tote Bag:

 This bag is one of the best things I've ever seen, literally. No further explanation necessary.

#8: Brandy Melville Rene Glitter Top:

 I love sparkles. I love sheer fabrics. I love Brandy Melville. I. Need. This. Top.

#9: Metallic Fringe Bucket Bag:

 You all probably saw it on my Instagram! Again, I love anything silver, and this bag is calling my name!

#10:

 Personalized Denim or Bomber Jacket: Y'all must know how big personalized items are with celebs right now. From Gigi Hadid to Taylor Swift to Alexa Chung, personalized is in! Now, I am dying for one too!

Meet Gabby!

Meet Me!

Hi everyone! My name is Gabby and I am a fashion-obsessed 17 year old! Before I start blogging regularly, I wanted to introduce myself to you all! 

I have been in love with fashion ever since I was a little girl. Playing dress-up and going shopping with my Mom were always my favorite things to do- and let me tell you, things haven't changed much!

My favorite city is New York City- hands down. Although I do love being in good ol' New England, nothing beats the city that never sleeps- it's basically a fashion-lover's land of dreams!

I am still in high-school, but someday soon I plan on pursuing my dream of going to college in the city and jumping into the world of fashion- head first!

I am still getting into the swing of this whole blogging thing, so forgive me in advance for my amateurism! I plan on putting up a new blog post twice a week- but I will structure a more definitive schedule as I become more accustomed to the blogging world.

My blogs will mainly be about fashion- outfits, trends, hauls, etc. Occasionally I may upload pictures I take on the streets of Boston or NYC- gotta love some good street style! And there may or may not be lifestyle and travel entries as well- you will just have to wait and see!
